In the heart of the city of Vienna (at Stephens place in the first district) this impressive Gothic cathedral St. Stephen is located since the year 1365 . It has a height of 107 meters and a width of 34 meters and is one of the most important Roman - Catholic buildings in the city of Vienna, next to the Ferris wheel, the most significant landmark. From there, it is possible to not only visit the cathedral itself, but also go to the south tower (over 136 meters high), or to visit the graves. With over two million visitors a year, this is definitely worth a visit. The namesake of Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral, in short, 'Steffl', is in fact the holy Stephen!
